Carbon credits were created to generate financial resources to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and promote sustainable development. Carbon markets to trade carbon credits work for multiple sectors, including energy, agriculture, forestry, etc. The carbon market in Vietnam is still in its infant stage. At the same time, the rapid development of carbon markets in the world poses big challenges for the region to compete in the global carbon credit market. How to promote the development of carbon markets for sustainable development is of interest to various organizations, corporations, NGOs, and of great concern to the government of Vietnam.
In light of this fundamental topic, Tra Vinh University (TVU, Vietnam), Foreign Trade University (FTU, Vietnam) and Vietnam Science Forum on Climate Change and Sustainable Development (VSF-CCSD) proudly invite academics and professionals to submit papers and to participate in the conference Leveraging carbon markets for climate change mitigation and sustainable development in Vietnam (CMSV) which is to be held on March 28th, 2024 at TVU (Tra Vinh, Vietnam).
