Student visits from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee, United States

On Dec 28th 2018, on behalf of the Foreign Trade University, the Faculty of International Economics had the honour to welcome delegates from University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee (UWM), US. Assoc. Prof, Dr Nguyen Thu Thuy – Vice President, Assoc. Prof, Dr Tu Thuy Anh – Dean of Faculty of International Economics, Assoc. Prof, Dr Nguyen Thi Tuong Anh – Vice Dean of Faculty of International Economics, Assoc. Prof, Dr Luong Thi Ngoc Oanh – Vice Dean of Faculty of International Economics and all the lecturers and students expressed joyment to meet delegates from UWM: Prof Chia Youatee Vang,  Vice Chancellor, Division of Global Inclusion and Engagement and Prof Viet Trinh Huu, Lecturer and all the students. Assoc, Prof. Dr Nguyen Thu Thuy stated that it was such a great pleasure for FTU to greet delegates from UWM and hoped that further collaboration between the two universities be strengthened in the future.

The presentation of students from The High Quality Programme class of 2015-2019 on “Trade policies of US and their impacts on global trade system” received a lot of attention from the students of UWM. The students agreed that in the context of globalisation, the trade policy of one country exert impact not only on the country itself but also on other countries, especially large country like the US. A short video and small quiz on the Vietnamese culture and people was followed by a photo session between the two universities. The delegates from UWM had an university tour under the guidance of students from High Quality Programme.

The visit of the guests from UWN was a great success and offered further collaboration between two universities in the near future.
