On April 16th, 2024, at hall D201 – Foreign Trade University (NTU), the Faculty of International Economics (TQT) organized a seminar “Postgraduate training in the context of building a digital economy, Green Economy” aims to provide useful information, as well as answer and resolve questions and concerns of students and those interested in Master’s and Doctoral training programs in Economics. Speaking at the opening of the discussion, Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Xuan Binh sent greetings and sincere thanks to the delegates, distinguished guests, lecturers and students who attended the discussion. Associate Professor, Dr. Hoang Xuan Binh said that the Faculty’s training programs are always innovated and improved to suit the new requirements of the Ministry of Education and Training and the University as well as the needs of students. Therefore, this seminar was organized by the Faculty of International Economics to share with students, agencies and business organizations the highlights of the master’s and doctoral training programs managed by the Faculty, thereby helping learners and employers have a multi-dimensional view of the Faculty’s graduate training programs, which partly shows that the Faculty’s graduate training programs are increasingly comprehensive and more closely linked to the needs of workers and businesses.
Next, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Tuong Anh provided students and attendees with detailed and useful information about the master’s and doctoral training programs run by the Faculty. In terms of content, the Faculty’s International Economics training program in the new context of building a green digital economy has been updated with new subjects such as Digital Economics, Green Economy, Circular Economy or Data analysis, including co-lecturing by leaders of technology companies, speakers from government agencies… such as Dr. Nguyen Ky Son, Director of the Americas Department of the Party Central Committee’s Foreign Affairs Committee. Regarding admission policy, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Thi Tuong Anh also brought to the discussion information about the preferential policies that FTU has for its students such as: accumulating up to 15 credits in the graduate program during their time studying at the university level, from there shorten the master’s training time; 10% tuition discount for students of the school when admitted to postgraduate training programs within 1 year of graduating from university, exemption of foreign language certificate requirements for graduates of FTU within the past 2 years. These are all special advantages to encourage students to continue practicing and researching to improve their professional qualifications. In addition, for students registering for postgraduate training programs managed by the Faculty, the Faculty will support writing research proposals for admission to research-oriented Master’s and PhD programs, instructions on in-depth research methods, as well as advice on how to write and publish articles in prestigious domestic and foreign journals.

Representing doctoral students in International Economics, Mr. Nguyen Phi Anh – Sales Director of Meijibio Vietnam Company, Mr. Phi Anh is an alumnus of the 43rd batch of FTU and has completed 2 master’s degrees at Dolphin University in France, He said that the PhD training program in International Economics has a suitable approach to the labor market and meets practical requirements very well. In particular, the PhD training process in International Economics has helped him great changes in thinking, problem-solving and problem-solving. Mr. Nguyen Phi Anh also shared his surprise about the International Economics training programs and training methods at the school after many years of returning to study. The seminar ended successfully in which the participating students received full information about the graduate admission programs of the Faculty of International Economics as well as useful information about the knowledge and skills that they need. they can accumulate through these training programs. After this discussion, the Faculty of International Economics hopes that more students will be interested in study and research options at the graduate level at the FTU in general and graduate programs of the Faculty of International Economics in particular.
